Alan Baker Installed As Association President !From The Lodi News Sentinel Real Estate Section on 12/2/2000. Alan Baker was installed as president of the Lodi Association of Realtors during the group’s annual dinner Friday at the Woodbridge Golf & Country Club. Conducting the installation was Maiya Morrison of Sonora who will be the 2001 chairwoman of Region 7 for the California Association of Realtors. Also installed were Mary Nissen, president-elect; Vicki Jenkins, vice-president; Rose Lazzaro, secretary-treasurer; Lowell Flemmer, immediate past president; and directors Denise Arbios, Myrna Carter, Jeff Kirst and Andrea Tonkin. Baker joined the Lodi Association of Realtors in April 1986. In 1991, he became a California licensed real estate broker. He is a graduate member of the 1992 Class of Leadership Lodi. In 1993, he completed courses and attained recognition as a graduate of the Realtors Institute, in the same year he merged with his current partner, Lane Pearson, to form Baker Pearson Real Estate. In previous years with the association, Baker has served and chaired various committees and is a past director. Baker is a currently a member of the National Association of Residential Property Managers, the California Association Presidents Forum, Multiple Listing Service and Business Technology Committee and is the regional representative for property management. Baker recently attended the National Association of Realtors Leadership Summit in Chicago and the Realtors Conference and Expo in San Francisco where he was a voting delegate for California. Baker grew up in Stockton. While attending Delta College he met his wife, Linda, a native of Lodi. They are members of Zion Reformed Church where they were married over 26 years ago. Linda is an elementary school teacher with the Lodi Unified School District. The couple has two children. |
